Geraint Thomas Olympic win – Post box painted in gold

UKTodayNews.com: In order to celebrate the gold win of the Welsh cyclist Geraint Thomas in the men’s pursuit, a post box has been painted in gold in Cardiff. The success of the GB team is also being celebrated with a special stamp.

The 26-year-old Welsh athlete was the first to win the Olympic Gold at London 2012. It was followed by rower Tom James in men’s coxless four on August 4, 2012. Thomas’s home town of Wrexham will also get a new look post box to celebrate the success.

According to the Royal Mail, a batch of special stamps were being printed to go on sale on Saturday morning to mark the success of the cycling team. Great Britain is in celebration mode for certain!
