Apple sells five million iPhone 5 phones already

After the launch of the Apple Inc’s much awaited phone, iPhone 5, the company has already sold more than five million of the phone in three days. The phone have been sold despite customer grumbles about some of its software.

After the phone went on sale on Sept 21, 2012 the iPhone enthusiasts flocked to the stores to get their hands on the newest gadget. Almost 1,300 people had queued up in London outside Apple’s flagship store Regent Street.

Moreover many of the fans had even camped at the company’s shop to be the first in the queue. Tim Cook, the Apple CEO said, “Demand for iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to get an iPhone 5 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible.”

Cook added, “While we have sold out of our initial supply, stores continue to receive iPhone 5 shipments regularly and customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough iPhone 5s for everyone.” The new iPhone 5 is thinner, lighter and faster than 3G and allows uninterrupted access to the web on the go with high definition film which can be downloaded in minutes.
