Apple apologises for iPhone 5 Maps app defect

US tech giant Apple has apologised to its customers for the defects in the new iPhone 5 Map Apps, which was launched last week. The apology from Apple came after a wave of criticism over the botched searches as well as errors on the new maps tool.

The users had criticised for putting the towns and cities in the wrong location and misspelling locations. Tim Cook, Apple CEO said in a statement, “At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. “ Cook added that thyey are sorry for the frustration caused to the customers.
