The big news is finally here, as Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 is all set to be launched on November 29, 2013 in the UK market. Gamers in the UK will be able to get their hands on the new device two weeks after it is launched in the US market, on November 15, 2013.
The new console by Sony will be launched in 32 countries worldwide and will be priced at £349 in the UK market, which is £80 cheaper than the Xbox One of Microsoft in the US. The PlayStation 4 was unveiled by Sony at an event at the Electronic Entertainment Expo held in Los Angeles in June 2013.
The latest PlayStation 4 will come with 8 GB of memory, additional hard drive space and a new DualShock 4 controller which has a motion-sensor bar and touch pad. Gamers will also have an option to buy extra controllers in new colors – including ‘Magma Red’ and ‘Wave Blue’ – for £54. At an event in Germany, Sony announced that it will be cutting the price of its handheld console, the PlayStation Vita.
The Wi-Fi version of the device will come down by $50, to $199 excluding tax, in the US.
