UK Today News: Mexico Shootout Between Rival Mexican Drugs Gangs Kills 21 People Near U.S-Mexico Border

Mexico Shootout: Mexican police have reported that the two rival groups connected to organized crime, killed 21 people in their group clash on Thursday near the U.S-Mexico border.

The Sonora State Police Spokesman, Jose Larrinaga Talamantes said that the groups are believed to be involved in drugs and human trafficking clashed in a deserted area nearing 12 miles south of the border.

According to an eye witnesses, the incident happened around 4 a.m on the Thursday morning and the Mexican Army, State Police and Federal Police soon arrived at the place of this incident.

Larringa further told that the investigators found eight bullet-riddled vehicles and seven weapons from the area that is in south of Nogales in the state of Arizona.

The reason for the shootout is not yet known.

The police have been able to arrest nine people as of now and the search for the others is still on.
