UK Today News: Joe Cole Signed Up With Liverpool After Being Released From Chelsea
Liverpool has signed up English Mid-Fielder, Joe Cole, after he was released from his contract from Chelsea. The 28 year old had options from Arsenal and Tottenham, but he instead chose Liverpool. He had joined Chelsea in the year 2003 at the price of 6.6 million pounds. In that period he had scored 40 goals in 282 matches.
Cole stated that he did not join Liverpool because they offered him a better price, but the fact was that he loves the team, and he also said that he loved the time he had in Chelsea. Cole appeared twice for his country in the 2010 World Cup, and has scored more than 56 goals in international appearances.
Cole feels that he needs to perform much better in the following season, and would appear more as a mid fielder, so that he can gain the managers faith in him.
