Lady Gaga is surely going to creates ripples around the music industry in the US, thanks to her 13 MTV VMA nominations this year. And it does not end here, she became the first female artist to be nominated for two video clips for the Coveted “Video of the Year” category at the 2010 Video Music Awards.
In the modern era, Beyonce does not even come in to the category of Gaga, specially talking about the awards being piled up, it is Missy Elliot who had taken 11 nomination in the year 2001, but that was broken by Gaga this time with 13 under her belt.
Missy had been nominated for eight nominations for her single ‘Work It’, in the year 2005, which got tied up with Greenday’s ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’. Now Gaga should be aiming on the biggest stage, trying to break Madonna’s record of 20 VMA nominations, lets see if she can make it there.
