UK Today News: Chain of Bomb Blasts Today In Iraq in Various Cities Targeting Iraqi Security Forces
The consequtive attacks on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in Iraq reported 41 deaths and left as many as 243 injured. 20 bomb blasts in separate incidents, in various cities spread all over Iraq have been reported by the officials.
This time again, the Iraqi Security Forces have been targeted at the maximum. The Interior Minister informed that the most gruesome attack was on the al – Qahira police station in the Northeast of Baghdad, that was made by a suicide car bomber, where minimum of 15 people were killed and 57 were left wounded. Among those who died were mostly the police officials.
The attack near the passport office claimed lives of five people and left 13 injured. This happened in the Anbar region. Attack, near the Karbala Police Station injured 30 people and left one dead.
These attacks are not the first ones to target the security forces, they are just the few among the series that has been taking place, since the US announced that it would be withdrawing its troops from the country.
