UK Today News: Tropical Storm Igor Likely To Become Hurricane Tonight – Igor To Affect Caribbean Islands On Thursday

Tropical Storm Igor is making it’s way across the Atlantic Ocean, and weather reports say that this storm is quite possibly on it’s way to become a hurricane towards the end of Saturday.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida has stated that Tropical storm Igor was located at around 915 miles to the west of Cape Verde Islands at approx. 4 a.m. ET. The storm has winds of 70 mph (110 kph).

The path of Tropical storm Igor is likely to make it’s way towards the west in the Atlantic Ocean and is expected to affect the Caribbean islands on Thursday. This has resulted in increased showers in the region.

Reports also state that the Hurricane Center is keeping close tabs over a a tropical wave which has emerged near the west coast of Africa.
