The news was announced by Ryan Seacrest at a press conference in Los Angeles.

Lopez said, “We’re looking for the next Michael Jackson. It’s such a special year – 10 years – it’s just an amazing thing to be part of. I feel really lucky to be here and I’m really excited to see who we find.”

She further added, “I think what we’ll bring is the fact that we do have the experience of trying to make it in this business and achieving a level of success and what that brings with it. Pressure, success, fame, all of those things.”

Earlier this year, Simon Cowell, Elen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi quit the show as judges citing personal reasons, and the new season will see the judging panel move back to the original three judge line-up.

American Idol is scheduled to begin Season 10 in January 2011.

Kara Dio ]Guardi, one of the “American Idol” judges, is reportedly leaving the show and that is what is giving a hint that maybe Jennifer Lopez will be the one who will be replacing Kara. Even reports claimed that Lopez was about to close the deal with the show.

Guardi who has been judging ‘American Idol’ since past two season said, “I felt like I won the lottery when I joined ‘American Idol’ two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave.”

Although there is no official announcement from Fox network, it seems Lopez will be seen in the 11th season of America’s biggest singing reality show along with Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.

After, Simon Cowell and Ellen Degeneres departed from the show, the producers of American Idol considered resuming it to the original three judge format.

Shania Twain To Become Next American Idol Judge? After the news that Jennifer Lopez will not become an American Idol judge, comes reports that Shania Twain could be a likely candidate for the post. Reports that Idol producers are considering “That Don’t Impress Me Much” singer Shania Twain as the new judge.

CNN reports that Shania Twain was taken into consideration after the network received good feedback following her appearance as a guest judge earlier this year. She was seen as a very professional and inspiration judge who took on her responsibility as a mentor and judge very well.

American Idol producers have a begun a hunt for new American Idol judges after Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres left the show, coupled with reports that Kara DioGuardi was fired.

It is final that “Jenny from the Block” singer Jennifer Lopez will not be judging ‘American Idol’. The issue that was being speculated in the news for so many days has finally been revealed.

According to People, a source said that the expected deal between Lopez and Idol producers did not materialize and so Lopez’s chances for being a judge on the show are practically over.

It was alleged that the singer was supposed to sign a deal for being on the show as the permanent judge for its 10th season.

American Idol’s producers are on the hunt for new judges after Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres called it quits from their respective posts. Many celebrities were approached and Lopez was one of them.

It is said that Lopez’s demands were more than what Idol team could handle, so they stepped back. Hence the deal with Lopez has been put off.

American Idol winner 2004, Fantasia Barrino has been accused by a Woman from North Carolina, that Fantasia has been having an affair with her husband. And she also stated in court that the couple have recorded their sexual encounters. The woman named Paula Cook is the wife of the man Fantasia has an affair with, and she has separated from him in the month of June. Her Husband’s name is Antwaun Cook.

Paula Cook who has taken divorce from Antwaun and has now presented documents to seek child custody, alimony and other monetary support from Antwaun. The documents of the court state that the couple started the affair in the month of August last year in 2009, where they met for the first time at a T-Mobile shop. Antwaun was employed at the T-Mobile shop.

Fantasia had won the Idol in the year 2004. She started to be around with Antwaun and had a lavish time with him, treating him by flying to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, California etc., as per the court documents.

The pair have also recorded their sexual activity on tape, and they have done this on many instances. The affair surfaced in the month of November by some gossip magazine and a website. Paula and Antwaun Cook have two children aged 6 and 2, and now Paula has filed for child custody of the two children.

Steven Tyler is expected to be one of the judges on the famous American singing reality hunt, ‘American Idol’. The sources reveal that final talks are going on between the Idol producers and the singer.

The news has not been confirmed as yet by the ‘Idol’ team, but it was Tyler who disclosed his upcoming projects at a Las Vegas concert last weekend. He said, “ I’ll be recording an album and [I’m] probably going to be judge on American Idol.”

The news started catching fire when Tyler, 62, was performing at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He was in a fun mood and said, “The rumors are true … I’m pregnant with [guitarist] Joe Perry’s baby.”

Sources also say that Jennifer Lopez will be the other new judge with American Idol judge.

Ellen DeGeneres who is a comedian and hosts her own talk show explained her decision given below:

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the “American Idol” producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on “Idol” and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Even Kara DioGuardi will be leaving the show and reports say that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler from Aerosmith will be the new judges next season. Its sure that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will add another dimension to American Idol.

American Idol seems to be seeing a lot of changes this year. After the announcement of Ellen DeGeneres’ exit from American Idol, reports say that another judge, Kara DioGuardi, will be leaving the show as well. TMZ reports that DioGuardi has been fired.

Reports say that “Waiting for Tonight” singer Jennifer Lopez, as well as Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler are the judges for the new season of Idol. Randy Jackson will still be with American Idol.

Earlier this year, Simon Cowell, left American Idol to pay more attention to the US version of The X-Factor. Ellen DeGeneres later announced she was leaving the show since she felt she didn’t fit in, followed by news that Kara was fired.

Kara DioGuardi, is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, who joined the judging panel of American Idol in 2008 and was seen alongside former idol judge Paula Abdul.

The American Idol panel has reportedly gone back to the three-judge format – as it was when it started.

On winning American Idol, Lee DeWyze said: “Thank you guys so much, everybody. I can’t believe this. I love you guys.”

The American Idol 2010 finale was grand and it had some really good performances with Crystal Bowersox singing a duet with Alanis Morissette, and Casey James (second runner up) singing a duet with “Poison” singer and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner Bret Michaels.

Janet Jackson was also on American Idol. She looked great and sang “Nothing” before moving on to a rendition of “Nasty Boys.”

American Idol winners Kelly Clarkson, Reuben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, Kris Allen and even former Idol judge Paula Abdul was there to make Simon Cowell’s send off on American Idol a memorable one.

Who Won American Idol Tonight, Lee DeWyze Wins, Crystal Bowersox, Janet Jackson American Idol, Paula Abdul: The American Idol Season 9 finale was a very good end to this year’s American Idol 2010 show, as it is had some amazing performances and also a new American Idol winner being crowned at the end of the night.

There two finalists were Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox and after nation wide voting, the person to become the next American Idol is Lee DeWyze.

The previous nights performances saw Crystal Bowersox getting more attention than Lee DeWyze’s, and when Lee DeWyze was announced as the winner, the visibly shocked American Idol 2010 winner said: “Thank you guys so much, everybody. I can’t believe this. I love you guys.”

The American Idol 2010 finale opened with the top 12 of this season performing “School’s Out” along with an appearance by Alice Cooper.

Crystal Bowersox performed a duet with Alanis Morissette, and Casey James (second runner up) sang a duet with “Poison” singer and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner Bret Michaels.

The other stars who performed included Christina Aguilera and appearances by Hall & Oates, the Bee Gees, Michael McDonald and Joe Cocker.

The performance that stole the night, was undoubtedly that of Michael Jackson’s sister – Janet Jackson. She looked great and sang “Nothing” before moving on to a rendition of “Nasty Boys.”

The American Idol Season 9 finale also saw the winners from seasons 1 to 8 present, to give American Idol judge Simon Cowell a warm farewell. American Idol winners Kelly Clarkson, Reuben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen and even former Idol judge Paula Abdul was there to make Simon Cowell’s send off on American Idol a memorable one.

Lee DeWyze went on to sing U2′s “Beautiful Day” as fans in his hometown and around the world celebrated his win. However, this is not the end of the road for Crystal Bowersox, since she is a talented musician and will surely go a long way.
