Miss World 2009: Miss Bulgaria Antonia Petrova
The beautiful Antonia Petrova is the current Miss Bulgaria and is participating in the Miss World 2009 pageant that will take place in a few days time in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Antonia has her eyes set on the crown and has been working hard on a very special dance teamed up with attractive costumes, in hopes that she makes her mark on the biggest beauty pageant in the world.
She will be competing against 120 participants from across the globe in the final which will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The 59th Miss World pageant will take place on December 12, 2009.

Miss International 2009 pageant
The 49th Miss International pageant (and Miss International 2009) will take place at Sichuan International Tennis Hotel, Chengdu, Sichuan, China on November 28, 2009. The much awaited beauty pageant will see 71 beauties from across the globe vying for the crown.
The Miss International pageant was scheduled to take place at the Venetian Macao in Macau on November 7, 2009, but circumstances resulted in it getting shifted to China.
Alejandra Andreu of Spain – the current Miss International – will crown her successor at the end of the evening.
The Miss International pageant takes place 2 weeks prior to the Miss World 2009 pageant in Johannesburg – which will see beauties from almost 120 countries competing for the title.
There are quite a few favorites for the Miss International crown, with Miss India, Miss France, Miss Brazil, Miss Venezuela and Miss Mexico being the choice of many.

Susan Boyle’s Makeover Pics
Britain’s got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle was often in the middle of controversies considering her very plain appearance. However, all this seems to be changing now, as new pictures of a lovely woman appear everywhere. Susan Boyle has gone in for a makeover and she looks fabulous!
In an interview, where she spoke about her new look, she said, “I didn’t know what I looked like on television until I saw myself on Britain’s Got Talent. I saw this wee wifey with the mad hairdo and the bushy eyebrows and said, ‘Hmmm, not really telegenic.’ So, I decided to spruce myself up a bit. When I look in the mirror now, I see this sophisticated lady. I’m still a bit like that wee wifey inside, but more refined in some ways. I think any woman would have done the same. Would you want to look like the Hairy Angel? I don’t think so.”
As you can see in the pictures below, this so called “hairy angel” has turned into a beautiful angel with grace, poise and elegance personified. Right from her hair to her shoes, she looks a lot more polished and angelic.
Susan is currently preparing to release her debut album I Dreamed a Dream on November 23.

Carrie Prejean has been the talk of the town for quite a while now after her X boyfriend revealed some more information about her and her camera phone footage that she sent to him.
Nothing so far of the tape has been released as of today, and a lot of internet users are looking up the internet for that very tape, many are said to catch a virus too. Be careful people!

Shilpa Shetty -Raj Kundra wedding on November 22
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her fiance Raj Kundra are getting married in a private ceremony on 22 November.
The wedding will be hosted at Shilpa’s friend- Kiran Bawas’ bungalow.
Sources say that the guest list will be restricted to only family members and close friends of the couple.
She says she is nervous and happy at the same time and can’t wait for the wedding to take place.
Shilpa posted this on her blog,”The past week has been full of meetings, meetings and more meetings, since I’m shooting in Hyderabad, everything had to be done before I’d left for this schedule. In the mid of Odissi rehearsals (can you believe it! ’cause I am shooting for a song here, ha ha!), guests list, hotel arrangements, wedding planners, trousseau outfits, the list is never ending.”
Shilpa added this as well, “Got to finish all work commitments before I leave for a month after the wedding. C’est la vie! To all those who want to know how I am feeling, I just want to say – I’m going through a lot of mixed feelings – happiness, excitement, nervousness, just like any bride to be and sadness as well, I miss my sister and hoping that she’ll be out soon in my last few days at home.”
Shilpa Shetty met Kundra in London when she launched her perfume S2 after winning the ‘Big Brother’ show. The couple also own stakes in the Rajasthan Royals IPL team.
CMA Awards 2009 Winners Taylor Swift sweeps CMAs
Taylor Swift was the big winner at the CMA Awards (Country Music Awards) at Nashville’s Sommet Center.
The “You belong to me” singer claimed the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” trophy as well as the “Female vocalist award”, “Album of the year” honors for Fearless and “Video of the year” award for “Love Story.”
Lady Antebellum’s “I Run to You” was named single of the year while Hootie & the Blowfish’s lead vocalist – Rucker- won the CMA’s new artist award.
Brad Paisley, who co-hosted the awards show with Carrie Underwood, won two awards, which included the male vocalist prize. His partnership with Keith Urban on “Start a Band” won them the Musical event of the year award.
But the artist who really made history at the CMA’s was undoubtedly Taylor Swift.
Swift becomes the first woman to win the award since Shania Twain in 1999.
She said, “I just got a hug from Kris Kristofferson! I’m good!. “I hope you know how much this means to me… And I want to thank every single person in this room tonight for not running onstage during this speech.”

Miss World 2009 contestants in Abu Dhabi
The much awaited Miss World 2009 pageant – which takes place in December later this year – has already begun with 120 beauties from across the world meeting each other for the first time in a charity event in London. This was followed by a trip to Abu Dhabi.
The 499-room Yas Marina Circuit hotel – situated on the Yas Marina – played host to a series of fashion shows when all 120 Miss World finalists as well as the current Miss World were on stage.
Miss World Ksenia from Russia made a special guest appearance on the second day of World Travel Market in London and along with the Miss World finalists, she was present at the presentation ceremony where trophies were handed out to individual winners .
All 120 Miss World finalists will be presenting trophies to individual winners on the night.
The Miss World 2009 contestants have now moved to Johannesburg, where there will be a number of smaller contest among the beauties in the run up to the finale in December. Each beauty has her entourage of designers and stylists to help them in winning the crown that can change their lives forever.
Already, one contestant – Rachel Christie of England – surrendered her crown the day before the London event, but that gave a lifetime opportunity to her replacement – Katrina Hodge – to be a part of the event.
So who will win the Miss World 2009 crown? Will it be Miss Russia? or Miss Venezuela? or Miss England? Miss Mexico? Miss China? Miss India? Miss USA? Miss Belgium?
We will need to watch and wait if it is one of your favorites who gets the title!

Rihanna gave her first full-length statements about her assault by Chris Brown in February in a very intense and emotional interview with 20/2. Pop star Rihanna also said that she is too embarrassed that she fell in love with Chris Brown.

Referring to the time that Chris Brown beat her in the car, she said, “He had no soul in his eyes… It was almost like he had nothing to lose.” And after beating her, Rihanna said he would feel sorry and she said, “He’d say, ‘You hate me, don’t you?’ and I would lie and say, ‘No.’”
This shocking revelation and the comment that he had beat her atleast 8 – 9 times made headlines across the world.
In the interview, Diane Sawyer presented some online videos of ‘fans’ to Rihanna where ‘fans’ say that she must have provoked Brown.
In response to such claims, Rihanna said bluntly of, “It’s ignorance. With fame comes a lot of things, and the most dangerous is freedom… no boundaries.”
When she was asked about the pictures of her battered face, she said, “I get very ashamed, angry… embarrassed… You start lying to yourself, blaming yourself… I didn’t want people looking at me. I felt really lonely.”
Rihanna also told Diane Sawyer, “I’m glad it happened to me, because now I can help young girls when it happens to them.”

Rachel Christie returns Miss England crown after Nightclub dispute
Rachel Christie, the first black woman to be crowned Miss England, has surrendered her crown after a nightclub dispute in Manchester. She will no longer be representing England at the Miss World 2009 pageant in December.
Reports suggest that Rachel allegedly punched Miss Manchester Sara Beverley Jones, 24, during a Manchester nightclub scuffle.
The 21 year old niece of former athlete Linford Christie, is an athlete who has plans of participating in the 2012 Olympics.
Reports say that the dispute began when Miss Jones – who is an ex-girlfriend of TV gladiator Tornado (David McIntosh) and current partner of Christie – showed Christie a message from David.
In a statement, Miss England organisers said: “Due to the media attention following the allegations against her, Rachel Christie has now decided to withdraw from the Miss World competition and relinquish her Miss England crown. Rachel will concentrate on clearing her name and focus on training for the 2012 Olympics until this case is resolved.”
Police are currently looking for witnesses.
