Wiker Park Fest is organized by Wicker Park & Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and Big Creek Productions and this is the 10th edition of the festival.
Wiker Park Fest 2010 Will take place in Chicago and attendance to the festival is expected to be 50,000 this year. Many famous musicians will be performing at the event. The ticket is priced approximately $20.

Heaven Fest is here and this year the festival will bring more than 70 bands playing live across 7 huge stages, and all this will happen in 300 acres of land in Colorado, U.S.
Great bands from all across the world will be performing this year from various different types of Genre. Bands like Petra, Kutless etc will be amoung the love acts.
The online tickets have ended the sale and all one can buy are physical tickets at all King Soopers locations. Tickets will also be sold at the Heaven Fest Gates at $35 per ticket.

Thousands of people have become homeless and reportedly 25 people dead because of the wildfires through western Russia. The government of Russian has reported to have sent around 240,000 people to fight against the wildfire.
Around 2,825 people have become homeless due to this disaster. The Wildfire has left around 1,257 homes destroyed says the Russian ministry of Emergency Situations. The Russian government has also sent around 226 aircraft to fight the wildfire.
People have been evacuated and well prepared for the citizens safety. Moscow has reached high temperature of around 102 Fahrenheit (35 Celsius), this temperature is the highest temperature Russia has faced since the year 1879.
In this Wildfire in Russia 300,105 acres of forest was reported burning today. The Russian Firefighters are still in progress on air as well as ground to fight this disaster. The pollution levels in the city have reached more than 10 times the safe level.

The government of Pakistan has announced that number of people died in the recent flooding that has prolonged to more than a week now has risen to 800.
People are stranded are being tried to be rescued, but the evacuated people are showing signs of sicknesses like diarrhea, fever and types of water borne disease.
The government has stated that this is the worst of any flooding that Pakistan has been hit since 1929. The UN has stated that some 1 million people have been affected due the floods. The Minister of the North-west province has confirmed that reports have come from the states that more than 800 people are confirmed to dead in the floods.
Good news came for the citizen affected with the floods in the North-West Province, that the flood waters have started to reside, but fresh heavy rainfall is expected in other parts of the country.

Kindle 3, a new digital reading gadget, has been introduced by Amazon.com. The new Kindle 3 is in the news because it is priced at $139, which is relatively cheap compared to Apple’s iPad.
Reports say that the eBook reader is equipped with Wi-Fi only, if it needs to connect online. A 3G model priced at around $189, will be launching in August.
Last month, before the introduction of the new Kindle, the cheapest Kindle 3 was priced at $259. The new Kindle has the same space for reading, but it will be lighter and thinner than its previous models. Amazon.com states that the Wi-Fi connectivity in the gadget is also very fast.
If Kindle were to be compared with the iPad, the Apple gadget is more expensive and costs around $499 to $830. Other readers like the Sony Pocket eReader, and the Borders Kobo priced at $149, but Kindle is still cheaper than them.

The recent floods in Pakistan that were caused by the torrential rains provoking the Swat river to rupture has taken away the lives of more than 400 people till date.
The complete Swat valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was attacked by these rains. It received rains between 250 mm and 300mm, the highest in the past 35 years.
As informed by the Qamar Zaman, the Pakistan’s Meteorological Department Commissioner.
The flood victims are getting aid from the UN Refugee Agency, who has already sent its first shipment of 585 tents, 2700 plastic sheets, 1760 kitchen sets and 4000 plastic mats.
The floods have caused the loss of thousand acres of crops, many government buildings, local businesses and schools.
A flood control official, Naeem Akhtar informed, “The river wreaked havoc in Behrain, where rising water from the river washed away many houses and hotels around the river bank,” a flood control official, Naeem Akhtar, told Reuters, referring to a town in the valley.
Provincial Minister in Khyber – Pakhtunkhawa, Bashir Ahmed Bilour said that these deaths occurred as the water carried away the mud houses along with it in the districts of Shangla, Tank and some parts of Swat Valley.

The star was arrested near the beach at Seaside and she was supposedly drinking Coca cola. Sources say that she was seen having shots a little earlier at a local bar.

Ellen DeGeneres has made an announcement that she will no longer be a judge with American Idol, she also said that she will not be returning next season either.

Ellen DeGeneres who is a comedian and hosts her own talk show explained her decision given below:
“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the “American Idol” producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on “Idol” and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”
Even Kara DioGuardi will be leaving the show and reports say that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler from Aerosmith will be the new judges next season. Its sure that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will add another dimension to American Idol.
