UK Today News: Graco Stroller Recall 2010 – Death Of 4 Infants Leads To Recall of 2 Million Strollers

Graco Stroller Recall 2010 – Graco Children’s Products Inc, has announced today that it will be recalling around 2 million baby strollers after reports emerged that four children died as a result of strangulation. The recall was made along with the the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and applies to strollers sold before 2008.

Graco, is a unit of Newell Rubbermaid Inc., and was reportedly warned six years ago about deaths related to the strollers. The China-made Graco stroller recall comes barely a few weeks after Mattel Inc’s MAT.O Fisher-Price reportedly recalled around 10 million toys. Reports state that the latest Graco recall, covers Graco Quattro Tour and MetroLite strollers, which were sold between November 2000 and December 2007.

Besides the four deaths, the CPSC also reports that were cases of infants getting cuts and bruises. In a separate recall earlier this year, Graco recalled 1.5 million strollers after it was reported that children’s fingertips were getting cut and even amputated.
