A new smartphone app which provides summaries of news stories has recently became popular and soared to number nine in Apple’s app stores list. The app became popular within just two hours after it was released in the US.

The new app is known as Summly and has been designed by a 17 year old named Nick D’Aloisio from London. The app has already received more than $1 million in funding from investors. However, some of the early reviews of the app described it as confusing. Overall, the app is still receiving four out of five stars from Apple users. The teenager had taken some time off school to develop his idea for the smartphone application.
