UK Today News: Mexico Urges Neighboring Countries To Identify 72 Bodies Found In Mass Grave

Mexican authorities have urged diplomats of El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador and Brazil to help in identifying the bodies of 72 people – presumably migrants – who were found in a mass grave in North Mexico.

Reports state that until the diplomats claim the bodies, their citizenship are set to be in the dark. The President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon said, “I strongly condemn the acts that caused the death of 72 people, suspected to be migrants. The drug gangs are repeatedly turning to extortion and kidnapping of migrants as their resources and recruits dwindle”.

The 72 dead people included 58 men and 14 women, were found in a near San Fernando that borders Texas. The Mexican navy claims that this is one of the worst graves found in their four year old war on organized crime. The grave was discovered on Tuesday after a man with a bullet wound informed a military road block.

CNN reports that authorities have also reported to have had found a many weapons that includes 21 rifles, camouflage uniforms, bulletproof vests and four trucks.
