Reports state the fire broke out on Monday as a result of a faulty electrical cable which caught fire in the air conditioning system. It was located behind a wooden cupboard in the intensive care unit. The cable was not installed correctly, as a result of which, the fire broke out and filled the unit with thick smoke.

Autopsy reports state that three out of the four babies died of smoke inhalation, while another baby died of a lack of oxygen. Reports also state that seven more babies are being treated, with one baby being in a critical condition.

Prosecutors revealed a shocking truth when they stated that the fire burnt for one whole hour in the ICU before it got noticed by anyone. All the hospital staff are being questioned.

Even thought the babies have been identified, officials say that they will still go ahead with DNA tests to confirm it.
