British musician and actor Plan B has managed to get to the top of the charts with his new album, film sound track III Manors. The release will feature in the movie with the same name and this is the second number one album for the rapper whose real name is Ben Drew.
Plan B said that the collection of songs were inspired by the issues surrounding by the riots which broke in the London almost a year back. Drew said, “It’s a mirror, a reflection of today. And of the problems that have been swept under the carpet since the riots put them on the front pages. That’s why I made it so visceral, to get under people’s skin. I wanted people to misunderstand it and to start debating it again.”
The week’s number two spot goes to a new release Hand written by American Rockers The Gaslight Anthem and the last week’s number one ‘Good Morning To The Night’ is a collaboration between Elton John and Australian duo Pnau. Stooshe girl group were this time up by two places at number three and the other new entries to the top ten album chart includes Jennifer Lopez with her hit ‘Dance Again’ – The Hits and Joss Stone with The Soul Sessions Vol 2.
Emeli Sande who performed at the London Olympics opening ceremony, was also a part of the top ten album chart.
