South Korean auto giant Hyundai has declared the pricing of its Veloster Turbo which will be launched in the month of September 2012. The Veloster Turbo will be costing £21,995 in the UK market and has a unique 1+2 door coupe.
It has two doors on the side and one on the other. The new model will be locking horns on the other turbo charged versions of the practical coupe like the Renault Megane, Vauxhall Astra and VW Scirocco.
The Veloster gets a turbocharged version of the regular 1.6 litre GDI engine. The power outputs climb fairly substantially as a result 184 bhp and 195 lb ft maximums representing rises of 46 bhp and 72 lb ft. The full torque version is available from 1,500 rpm also.
The best part is that the Veloster hits 62 mhp at just 8.4 seconds on its way to 133 top speed. On the other hand the European buyers will get a more powerful version of the Veloster Turbo along with firmer dampers to increase its agility. The turbo version retains the standard Veloster’s quirky looks adding new 18 inch alloys and a subtle bodykit. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo SE will go on sale in the UK on September 24, 2012.
