Duchess of Cambridge unveils her ambition to teach

Kate Middleton revisited her preparatory school on November 30, 2012 and disclosed her ambitions to be a school teacher. On her visit, the 30-year-old went down memory lane at the St Andrew’s School in Pangbourne, Berks and shared that her years in the school were the happiest.

The Duchess of Cambridge also disclosed that her nickname was Squeak in school. Middleton also said that she and her sister Pippa kept guinea pigs at school, out of which one of them was named Pip and the other was named Squeak. Kate went on to talk about her love for sports and that she held the school’s high jump record for at least two decades.

For the occasion, the duchess wore a tartan coat dress by Alexander McQueen and three-inch-high calf length boots. The students, at the annual celebration of the patron saint of Scotland participated in many activities and festivities.

Dr. David Livingstone and Kate formally opened a new artificial AstroTurf playing field and unveiled a plaque before she met members of the schools’ current hockey team. Kate also met teachers and students at a private lunch. Middleton said in a speech that it was such a treat to be back at her former school.
