Auto giant Suzuki has introduced a five-door variant of the Swift Sport, which is a part of the company’s 2013 model update in the UK market. The latest variant by the company has been priced at £14,249 and joins the equivalent £13,749 three-door Sport, which is on sale since January 2012. The new five-door variant performs almost the same as the three-door sibling.
The Swift Sport has a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine which produces 136 hp at 4400 rpm and hits 62 mph from a standstill in 8.7 seconds. The new variant has a six-speed manual gearbox and twin exhausts, which are also seen on the current three-door model. The vehicle also features an impressive amount of equipment as standard, which includes auto air conditioning, HID Projector headlamps with headlamp washers, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity.
The 2013 model update from the company also includes the Swift 4×4, which is all set to go on sale in the UK market in August 2013. The new model will be a competitor to the similarly sized, as well as priced, Fiat Panda 4×4.
The Swift 4×4 will have an automatic and permanent 4-wheel drive system and will cost £11,516 for the SZ3.
