British low-cost airline EasyJet is on its way gradually resuming flights to different routes. For now the British people can fly to Spain and Italy since the lockdown was implemented in March, 2020. The airline has assured that it is planning to restart more flights from July 1, 2020. EasyJet is planning to restart some of the domestic and International flights from about 14 airports across the UK. This means that the holidayers who are planning to travel, can fly abroad from London Gatwick, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, London Luton, Edinburgh and Belfast to some of the countries like Italy, France and Spain.
EasyJet has assured that from July 2020, the airline will be operating about 500 flights per day across Europe and will include more than 900 flights per week to and from the United Kingdom. Europe has some of the popular holiday destinations like Canary Islands and Balearics and some of the beach destinations like Croatia , Greece and Portugal. The airline is also planning to launch a new route between Gatwick and Stockholm on July 20, 2020.
Moreover, flights are also expected to resume from some of the main bases in The Netherlands and Germany. More flights will be added on domestic and international routes from Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Safety measures have also been introduced and it includes that the crew and the passengers need to wear a face cover or a mask at the airport and during the flight.
AS a safety measure, the flights are deep cleaned and the crew and passengers are provided with gloves and hand sanitizers. The airline earlier operated 1,022 flights in total and it plans to reopen at least half of it by the end of July, 2020. Meanwhile, the foreign office has warned the passengers of non-essential travel abroad. There are reports that the travel restrictions could be changed to allow people to travel only to a small number of countries.
