Rihanna gave her first full-length statements about her assault by Chris Brown in February in a very intense and emotional  interview with 20/2.  Pop star Rihanna also said that she is too embarrassed that she fell in love with Chris Brown.

Referring to the time that Chris Brown beat her in the car, she said, “He had no soul in his eyes… It was almost like he had nothing to lose.” And after beating her, Rihanna said he would feel sorry and she said, “He’d say, ‘You hate me, don’t you?’ and I would lie and say, ‘No.’”
This shocking revelation and the comment that he had beat her atleast 8 – 9 times made headlines across the world.
In the interview, Diane Sawyer presented some online videos of ‘fans’ to Rihanna where ‘fans’ say that she must have provoked Brown.
In response to such claims, Rihanna said bluntly of, “It’s ignorance. With fame comes a lot of things, and the most dangerous is freedom… no boundaries.”
When she as shown pictures of her battered face she said, “I get very ashamed, angry… embarrassed… You start lying to yourself, blaming yourself… I didn’t want people looking at me. I felt really lonely.”
Rihanna also told Diane Sawyer, “I’m glad it happened to me, because now I can help young girls when it happens to them.”
