UK Today News: Erykah Badu Window Seat Youtube: Erykah To Pay $ 500 Fine, Defends The Video
Erykah Badu has been in the news for her shocking “Window Seat” video, and now the Dallas police has charged the singer with disordely conduct for stripping naked in a public while filming her “Window Seat” music video.
In the video, Erykah Badu took off all her clothes at the same place where JFK was assassinated in 1963. The singer can be seen walking through the infamous square stripping off her t-shirt and pants followed by her underwear,and then falls to the ground after being shot.
A spokesman for the police said: “The City attorney’s office and the Dallas Police Department has decided to charge the entertainer known as Erykah Badu with disorderly conduct. After much discussion we feel that these charges best fit her conduct when she disrobed in a public place without disregard to individuals and small children who were close by.” She has been asked to pay a fine of $500.
Erykah had previously said on twitter that she never meant any disrespect to JFK and feels that her video has been misunderstood and said that her video was “grossly misinterpreted by many.”
The police had to put these charges against her after they received many complaints from people.
