UK Today News: Nicollette Sheridan Sues Desperate Housewives Producer Marc Cherry For Assault
“Desperate Housewives” star Nicollette Sheridan is suing the producers of the show for for $ 20 million on the grounds of assault and wrongful termination.
In her lawsuit, Nicollette Sheridan, who is famous for role as Edie Britt on “Desperate Housewives” alleges that Marc Cherry, the producer of the show, hit her in September 2008.
Sheridan said that when she asked Mr. Cherry about a particular line in the script, he allegedly “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head” (The A.P). She also said that when she brought this up with ABC, they ignored her and her character on Desperate Housewives was eliminated.
Reports say that ABC and Cherry Alley Productions, are yet to respond tot he suit filed by Nicollette Sheridan.
