An explosion took place in the city of Bangalore,India just before the start of an Indian Premiere League cricket match.


The match that was between teams Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers and was the home game for the Royal Challengers in the M Chinnaswamy stadium. The explosion took place at around 3:15pm, barely 45 minutes before the start of the match, when a small wall exploded. 5 security persons were injured.

It was a small explosion, but nevertheless, IPL has always received security threats.

India had hosted IPL’s Season 2 in South Africa due to security reasons after the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist acts.
