Stanley Cup,Blackhawks Parade : Chicago is in the mood for a celebration thanks to the Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup for the first time in 49 years. Reports say that Chicago officials have said that the city’s official Blackhawks parade will take place on Friday.

The Blackhawks parade is scheduled for Friday 11th June 2010 and will begin at the intersection of Wacker Drive and Washington Street, and will then move towards the east to Michigan Avenue, followed by East Wacker Drive. Here, a rally is scheduled to take place at around 11 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.

The Blackhawks have succeeded in putting an end to NHL’s longest championship drought on Wednesday night, after their 4-3 win over Philadelphia in Game Six of the Stanley Cup finals.

The Stanley Cup is an ice hockey club trophy, awarded annually to the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs champion in USA.
