UK Today News: Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee Treasurer Anil Khanna, Resigns Due To Some Allegations
Anil Khanna, the treasurer of the Commonwealth Games’ Organising Committee resigned today that is August 5, 2010, Thursday due to some allegations against his son Aditya Khanna. This years common wealth games will be hosted in India.
It is claimed that RK Khanna Tennis Stadium’s 14 synthetic surfaces of the courts have been spread by Aditya Khanna’s company and he got this contract on the basis of favouritism.
Aditya Khanna, Rebound Ace India Private Ltd. (RAIPL), a distributor of Rebound Ace, Australia had got the contract for relaying the tennis courts.
Anil Khanna clarified that though his son is the Indian distributor but, the deal is with the main, parent company and that RAIPL would not be paid anything for this.
RK Khanna Tennis Stadiums, had before also surfaced some controversy regarding the stickiness on the courts because of the not so favourable climatic conditions that could have risked the players while playing.
