UK Today News: Detroit Free Press Marathon 2010 Results – Jordan Desilets And Paula Keating Are Winners

The Detroit Free Press Marathon 2010 took place on Sunday morning, and saw more than 20,000 runners taking part in a marathon that is often termed as being the only race that takes place on an international level. The Detroit Free Press marathon is currently in it’s 33rd year.

Reports state that the 26.2-mile run began early morning on Sunday , 17th October, at Fort and Second in Detroit. The marathon saw runners making their way into Canada and back.

The Detroit Free Press Marathon results saw 29 year-old Jordan Desilets of Pinckney as the winner of the men’s event. He clocked an unofficial time of two hours, 28 minutes, 27 seconds. The women’s event was won by 44-year-old Paula Keating, of Canada. She won the marathon in a time of two hours, 52 minutes, 14 seconds.

The other events at the the Detroit Free Press Marathon included a 13.1-mile half marathon, a 5K run/walk, as well as a five-person relay.

The Detroit Free Press reports that August Pappas has won the a 5K walk in 15 minutes, 55 seconds.
