UK Today News: Scottish actor and comedian Ronnie Corbett recently collapsed at a Chinese restaurant in Croydon. The actor’s wife Anne said that they were dining at the restaurant on the New Year’s Day when he collapsed.
The 81 year old was then rushed to the Croydon University hospital by an ambulance and was then transferred to a private hospital. The actor has been discharged earlier his week and is now recovering at his residence in Shirley.
According to Anne, the actor had been taking a considerable amount of medication after a recent knee surgery. The wife of the actor also revealed that on New Year’s day, he was also complaining of feeling week.
Anne added that the actor collapsed due to the combination of all this and was also not feeling like eating much recently. The comedian has also undergone a number of tests and which have all come out clear. In the New Year’s honors list the comedian has become a CBE for his services to entertainment and charity. Corbett’s presence in the industry became prominent with the comedy program ‘The Frost Report’ during the 60. His BBC TV show with Ronnie Barker ‘The Two Ronnies’ lasted from the year 1971 to 1987.
