The biggest gas and electricity supplier of Great Britain might hike its prices on electricity as well as gas on October 12, 2012. The price hike will hit 12 million households with higher bills if speculation turn to fact.
The British Gas annual dual-fuel bill for gas and electricity at present stands at £1,260; with a 5 percent hike it would add £63 to bills and an 8 percent hike would add £100. A spokesperson from British Gas said that they could not comment on future pricing movements and also refused to comment on speculations of the probable hike.
