UK Today News: Christine O’Donnell’s Witchcraft Comments Kicks Up A Controversy

Christine O’Donnell’s revelation that she ‘dabbled with witchcraft’ can be a reason for her to regret. She did so in a 1999 video clip in talk show, ‘Tea Party’ which was publicized by Bill Maher recently. O’Donnell, who is a Delaware GOP Senate nominee confessed that she did try her hand with witchcraft but that was during her school days.

She said, “How many of you didn’t hang out with questionable folks in high school? There’s been no witchcraft since. If there was, Karl Rove would be a supporter now.”

In the video , she said, “I dabbled into witchcraft. I never joined a coven.”

O’Donnell defends herself by saying, “One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn’t know it. I mean, there’s little blood there and stuff like that. We went to a movie and then had a little midnight picnic on a satanic altar.”

She had to cancel all her public appearances, after TV news channels kept on rolling the confession clip. She even cancelled her ‘Face the Nation’ appearance on CBS.
