UK Today News: Talking about Generation Next, 18-year-old Tom Bletsoe on Tuesday officially became the youngest politician in Britain. Tom, who hails from St Ives Cambridgeshire, was warned about inappropriate comments on the social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter after signing in a register and collecting an official badge.
The warning was issued by the Council clerk, Alison Melnyczuk by saying that if any of his comments were found inappropriate, then that would breach the code of conduct of the Town’s Council code.
Tom was sworn in a ceremony, which he attended with his father at the St Ives Town Hall.
Tom said that the warning was not given to him just because he was young. He said that the reason for the warning was because he uses Twitter and Facebook a lot. The teenager aspires to become an actor, and even opined that the local politicians are greedy and ridiculous, when they over claim their expenses.
