UK Today News: Discovery Space Shuttle Launch Postponed To Friday Due To Bad Weather
Space shuttle Discovery’s launch has been postponed yet again, according to NASA, and the space shuttle will be launched on Friday, November 5. This time the deferment is due to bad weather. Reports state that Discovery was also expected to be blasted off last week, but it was postponed due certain technical issues.
Reports state that Friday’s launch will be the last flight for Discovery, and it is scheduled to take off at 03:04pm EDT.
The eleven day mission of Discovery includes carrying a storage pod, spare parts, supplies and also a humanoid robot as part of the technology demonstration project.
It is the 39th flight of Discovery and also it’s last flight. NASA is ending it’s space shuttle program in 2011 so that they can make a way (financially) for the development of new spaceships and rockets, which will travel to asteroids and Mars as well.
