UK Today News: A Spider-Man double, while performing for the musical “Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark”, injured himself on Monday, in New York. According to the New York Fire Department, the 31 year-old actor fell from a height of around 20 to 30 feet.

The spokesman of the show Jaron Caldwell said that the person who usually plays Spiderman double was Reeve Carney, but the person who was injured wasn’t Reeve. He also said that there are nine stunt men to perform Spider-Man’s stunts, but the person who is injured is still not confirmed.

Jonathan Dealwis, a spectator at the show, said that the accident happened towards the end of the show. He told “Spider-Man was on a bridge, and Mary Jane was dangling from it. She drops down, as is meant to happen. Spider-Man went to the end of the bridge there. I think he was meant to sort of swoop over there, but he just fell off. … The harness, you could see it just flick off his back and fly backward,” Dealwis said.

Another spokesman of the show said that the stuntman had fallen from a platform.
