UK Today News: British pop singer and song writer Melanie Brown, popularly known as Mel B, has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her current husband Stephen Belafonte. Brown aka ‘Sporty Spice’ said that it is a ‘dream come true’ for her.
This is the first child for Melanie and Stephen Belafonte. The former Spice Girl is following in the footsteps of her former band mates Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), who are also expecting.
Belafonte and Brown got married in the year 2007 in Las Vegas. The excited couple said that they are very happy and eager to welcome the new family member after four years of wedding bliss. The couple is very excited and also added that they are very much in love with each other.
The two already have three children from their previous relationships. Belafonte has a six year old daughter, Giselle, while Brown has two daughters Phoenix Chi, 12 and Angel Iris 3.
Earlier, Brown was alleged to be in a brief relationship with Australian singer Peter Andre in the year 1996, but she later dismissed them as rumours in 2010. Later in 1998, Brown got married to Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar after becoming pregnant. In 2000, Gulzar and Brown’s divorce was finalized. The next in the line was British actor Max Beesley from who she separated in 2002. Finally, after a brief relationship with Eddie Murphy (and also the birth of their child), the singer got settled with Belafonte.
