UK Today News: Electronic manufacturing giant Samsung has recently announced that the much awaited Galaxy S II phone, will be launched on 1st May. The company had earlier announced the launch date as 31st March, but later the date was postponed to 1st May.
The company has postponed the release date so as to add a faster processor at a reasonable price. The Galaxy S II phone will have a better processor with a 1.2 GH z dual core processor. The other features of the phone include an 8 mega pixel camera, with digital camera features like touch focus and smile detection.
Galaxy S II will also have 16 GB/32 GB memory, with 1GB RAM, gorilla glass display, touch sensitive controls, gyroscope control, swipe text input, multi touch method input, accelerometer sensor and touchWiz .
The phone will have Android operating system v2.3 gingerbread. The additional features will include document editor, Adobe flash, voice memo, SNS integration, digital compass, organizer, image editor and predictive text input. According to a YouTube video, the pre-release test unit has some problems with the auto rotation feature. Hopefully, the fresh phones would not have the same problems.
Good news for early birds is that the Galaxy S II will be available for £100 cheaper on CNET UK i.e. for £500 after the phone launches on 1st May.
