News reports have come in that there was an earthquake in Venezuela on Friday with a preliminary magnitude of 5.6. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake struck the eastern part of Venezuela on Friday.
The agency said that the epicenter of the quake was about 25 miles from Carupano – which is near the Caribbean coast in northeastern Venezuela, the agency said.
Currently there are no reports of damage or injuries yet but the people of Venzuela are shaken up.
The devastating earthquake that hit the nation of Haiti and killed thousands of people on Tuesday, and this 5.4 magnitude quake just a few days later is very causing panic.
