British singer and song writer Amy Winehouse’s house in London, where she was found dead, has been put on sale. The singer’s father Mitch Winehouse has put the 3 bedroom house in London for sale for £2.7 million.
Amy along with her father had bought the house for £1.8 million in April 2010. Mitch wasn’t so happy while announcing that the house was on sale.
He took his Twitter account and wrote, ‘Amy and I both worked on the house and she loved it so much. I hope a lovely family buys it as it is so full of love. Mitch.” The house has been described as a substantial and impressive 3 double bedroom, 3 reception room semi detached period villa with well proportioned private gardens, by the online estate agency.
Earlier, there were plans that the house will be used as the head quarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which is a charity set up to help the troubled teenagers in need of rehab. A spokesperson of the family said that Amy had loved the house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it. While talking about the reason to put it on sale the spokesperson said that it wasn’t practical to keep it empty while paying for its keep up.
