Barbadian recording artist Rihanna took to her Twitter account to reveal that she was evacuated from her hotel in London after a fire broke out. Reports say that the ‘We found love’ singer was among the 300 guests at London’s Corinthia Hotel in Whitehall Place, who were forced to leave their rooms in the early hours of the morning after fire broke in a lift shaft.

The singer told her followers in Twitter about the incident by uploading a picture of a fire engine with a caption “Fire in the Telly #evacuationlife”. Rihanna later also posted a picture of herself, in which she is seen wearing dark sunglasses and a grey hoody while she was seated at the back of a London black cab.

Rihanna stated that she has been “roamin da streets since 6am (sic)” due to fire in the hotel. Later the London Fire Brigade confirmed through their Twitter account that no one staying at the hotel was injured.

At present, the 24-year-old singer is in London after headlining Radio One’s Hackney Weekend on Sunday June 24. Rihanna is now all set to take the stage once again next weekend on July 8, 2012 for the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park.
