Late popstar Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine has been re-instated as the guardian of his three children by a court in Los Angeles. Katherine will be sharing the custody with their cousin TJ who was earlier made the temporary guardian last week after the 62 year old went missing.

The grandmother of the star kids, did not have any contact with them for at least ten days and was later found at a spa in Arizona. On 22 August a hearing will decided if the arrangement has to be made permanent or not.

34 year old son of Michael’s brother Tito, Tito Jackson Jr. came in as a guardian for Prince, Paris and Blanket. On the other hand the lawyer of Tito Jr, Charles Shultz said that he was “in no way was trying to displace his grandmother” as they respect each other.

According to the new arrangement, TJ Jackson will remain the co-guardian with the control over the staff and day-to-day operations of the family home. Katherine’s lawyer, Perry Sanders Jr, said that the arrangement will allow his client to focus on the upbringing of the children and not on the financial or logistics issues. The co-guardian arrangement will also allow either adult to serve as the sole guardian if the other is no longer available to serve.
