The Great Britain Equestrian team has created history by claiming the Britain’s first ever gold medal in a team dressage event. Overall, it is the 20th Gold medal of the Olympics which is the biggest for GB since the 1908 London Olympics.
The riders Carl Hester, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Charlotte Dujardin managed to see off their defending champions Germany to claim the top spot. For the horse riders this is the second gold in just two days. The stars of the show were Charlotte Dujardin and her horse Valegro. They set a new Olympic record earlier in the competition and their top score sealed in the deal in the final.
