Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has slipped outside of the top three global smartphone rankings for the first time.
According to Strategy Analytics, Samsung shipped 56.9 million smartphones worldwide in the third quarter of 2012, Apple shipped 26.9 million smartphones worldwide and marked a healthy 57 % growth, while Nokia just shipped 6.3 million smartphones worldwide with a market share of 4 percent, which dipped from 16.8 million units in the previous year.
Experts have opined that the Finnish company needs to get a grip in the Nigerian market now. Nokia is giving importance to its new line of smartphones, especially the Windows phone, which they hope will gain back its presence in the phone market.
