The diary of the Duchess of Cambridge has to be revised as she is planning to take maternity leave after the birth of the Royal baby. The various duties of the Duchess include include many offshore travels as well. Kate Middleton is expecting her first child in the summer of 2013 and that means she would not be available for trips abroad next year.
When the Duke of Cambridge was born in 1982, his parents did not make any overseas trips for the next ten months. The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales took Prince Williams along with them when they made their first six-week trip to Australia and New Zealand after his birth in 1983.
Taking the baby along could be an option for the Duchess and the Duke, as it is highly unlikely that the baby will be left alone in England without its parents around. Another possibility is that the Duke carries on with the tour by himself, but this would be possible only if it is a low-key affair within Europe.
Since their marriage in 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been going for extensive tours to North America and Eastern countries, but it seems like they wont be able to travel together before 2014, going by the timing of the birth of the baby.
