Japan-based auto giant Maruti Suzuki has announced the launch of a 4×4 version of its Swift supermini for the UK market. The vehicle will go on sale in the country in July 2013 and will be available with a VAT free offer until September 30, 2013, from £11,516. The new vehicle is just 65 kg heavier than the 2WD version.
The company is offering the latest Swift 4×4 with 1.2-liter petrol engine and five doors in SZ3 or SZ4 grades. The vehicle has manual transmission and comes with estimated CO2 emissions of 126 g/km, 10 g/km higher than the 2WD. When compared to the regular model, the SZ3 stands out due to its 4×4 badging and increased height.
The SZ4 model has a new, rugged experience due to the addition of front and rear skid plates, black wheel arch extensions and black side skirts. The SZ4 also includes power folding door minors and daylight running lamps, as part of the standard equipment.
It has already been mentioned that the Swift 4×4 can be bought for £11,516 in SZ3 form, while the SZ4 model costs £13,116.
