The new iTunes Radio was something that Apple was missing so far. The iTunes Radio by Apple is now all set to be launched in September 2013 in the US and will see advertisements from a number of international brands, including Pepsi, McDonald’s, Nissan and Procter & Gamble.

Sources from the advertising industry have revealed that Apple’s deals with the various brands are worth millions of dollars. The service will be running audio advertisements, at the rate of one every 15 minutes or so. On the other hand, the video ads will be playing approximately every hour. Advertising will be featured across all platforms of Apple, including iPhones, iPads and all computers which are loaded with iTunes and Apple TV.

The video commercials will be played when listeners are more likely to be looking at the screen, like when they are skipping a track or after they hit play. For now, Apple’s partners will have exclusivity with their respective industries until 2013, but slots will be available to other advertisers at the beginning of 2014.

The price of individual ads will depend on the size of the screen they are displayed on, as Apple TV spaces will cost more, while iPhone slots will cost less.
