Looping video Facebook to introduce looping videos on profile picture
In some good news for the Facebook users, the social network is all set to allow 7 second looping videos as a profile picture. However, this is just a preliminary announcement and is yet to be applied. It is still not clear on how the feature will work but the concept seems to be interesting for the users.
At the same time the social network is not the first one to launch such a feature. Algerim Shorman and Tony Hsieh, the product managers of Facebook said, “Profile videos will let you show a part of yourself you couldn’t before, and add a new dimension to your profile.” The company has considered it as a more visual status update which can be changed at any point of time to show what is going on at present.
The feature can also be used to remind people about an important event, or to tell others that you are on a vacation. Shorman and Hsieh further explained that the users can also create a temporary profile picture for the special moments and events. The friends of the users can come to know about what is going on in your life today.
The product managers added that the space will be visible to anyone who visits the profile but the user will be having a full control on what information appears.
