Paul Misener, the Vice President of Global Innovation Policy and Communications at Amazon was talking in an interview when he revealed their plans to make the drone delivery a reality in the UK and eventually across the globe. The project will also have the involvement of a government team that is supported by the Civil Aviation Authority that will start looking in to how deliveries can be managed by avoiding obstacles and flights where just one person is responsible to manage multiple drones at a time.
After all the above issues are solved there are possibilities that a futuristic air mail might take shape. Amazon Prime Air tests will be conducted on items that are 5 pounds or less. Misener with the latest announcement said that this will make their partnership with UK stronger and will also bring Amazon closer to their goal of using drones to safely deliver parcels in 30 minutes to the customers in UK and across the globe.
The announcement is seen as a welcome move as Amazon has dared to take the first step. There are possibilities that the users might need to have Amazon Prime subscription to use the service.
