UK Today News: Apple Delays International Release Of iPad By A Month
Apple is reportedly delaying the international release of the iPad – its touchscreen tablet computer – by a month.
Apple will now release the iPad around the world, including the UK, at the end of May. It will accept pre-orders from 10th May 2010 onwards.
The iPad was launched in the US earlier this month and 300,000 units were sold on the first day of it’s launch.
Apple said: “Demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks.”
The iPad will be priced at $499 (£328) in the US, and the rest of the world will have a chance to buy the iPad only the end of May 2010.
