UK Today News: Target Stabbing – Layla Trawick Stabs 4 People in California’s Target Store
Target Stabbing: Layla Trawick, an Antioch woman has been accused of going on a stabbing rampage inside a Target store in Southern California on Monday.

According to her mother, Layla Trawick is known to have a history of mental illness and the many attempts to get her medicated or in an institution have never worked out. Trawick’s mother insists that although her daughter has acted out before, she has never ever resorted to stabbing people.
Trawick’s mother told ABC7 that her daughter has been mentally ill since childhood with bipolar and schizophrenia.
She said: “I’d been trying to get her institutionalized for years.” According to reports, the 35 year old Layla Trawick is accused of stabbing four people at a Target store in West Hollywood. The victims include three women and a man and the weapon used was a butcher knife and carving knife. One victim is reportedly in critical condition.
Trawick has a 6-year-old boy, who lives in Sacramento with his father.
According to the AP, ” Deputy Clay Grant Jr. was off-duty and picking up a couple of household items from Target when customers started screaming….Grant grabbed his duty weapon, identified himself as a sheriff’s deputy and ordered the woman to drop the knives.”
She finaly dropped her weapons and the Deputy handcuffed her.
