UK Today News: US Airways Launches New Flights – USAirways Introduces Flights to Halifax , Anchorage

USAirways, US Airways New Flights: US Airways announced a new nonstop service today between Philadelphia and Halifax, and Anchorage.These destinations also happen to be much sought after vacation spots.

Reports say that the Anchorage flights will operate through the summer, whereas the Halifax flights will take place the whole year-round.

The new US Airways flights will depart from Halifax for Philadelphia three times. The Anchorage flights will depart only be once a day from June 2, 2010.

US Airways have also stated that the new service will be operated with an US Airways Boeing 757 aircraft which has a capacity of 164 seats in the main cabin, whereas First Class will have 12 seats.

The Vice President of US Airways, Philadelphia Hub Bob Ciminelli stated, “We’re excited to add Halifax and Anchorage to our more than 400 daily departures at Philadelphia International Airport. We appreciate the continued support from the Philadelphia Division of Aviation, and look forward to a great summer travel season for our customers.”
